Event overview
If you like beautiful races in beautiful places, like fun, like medals and like goodies then this event is for you.
You'll enjoy post-race treats as well as a bespoke finishers medal.

This event is part of the It's Grim Up North calendar of runs, offering a range of distances and levels of difficulty so there is something for everyone.
Famous for its low-key approach, all runners will be greeted with a warm smile and friendly chat.
The aim is to get you out running, help you enjoy the beautiful countryside with great camaraderie and for you to experience the sense of well-being you get when you cross that finish line.
A popular event and a return to the Leeds Liverpool canal this time from the heart of Rodley.
The tow path on this event is great underfoot and is flat out and back.
You'll be shown that the North is anything but Grim.

The run was fantastic. I used this as my longest run for training for London Marathon 2025 and it helped so much as I am not the type of runner to run 20 miles on my own. The scenery is fantastic and support on the run is great. Jane Q
Nothing Grim About It. Really well organised event with the loveliest marshals (thank you to the lady at the 10 mile mark who chatted to me about marathons!) This was the longest run in my training block for Manchester Marathon and it was a pleasure to be able to do it so well supported with encouragement from other runners. Thank you! Annabel B
Really fun race, busier than I expected and well organised! Helena J
Fantastic as ever Grim events. Thanks for a fabulous morning. Dawn R
Friendly. I've done a few Grim runs on the last 2-3 years and always enjoyed them, able to run at my own pace and given encouragement from other runners too, feed/drink stations every 3 miles and the cake / goodies at the end is always appreciatedLove the unique medals and getting quite a collection now!
