Levens 10K

Kendal Amateur Athletic Club, based in the picturesque town of Kendal, the ‘Gateway to the Lakes’, hosts a series of four scenic 10K road races in and around the breath-taking Lake District during spring and early summer. Levens 10K - The low-lying, flat area was flooded in 2015 after Storm Desmond. Brigsteer and Levens are on an upland leading to Scout Scar, overlooking Kendal. This is a race of two halves. Runners will start at Levens Village Institute with an undulating uphill through Brigsteer Woods, downhill through Brigsteer Village, sharp left with a steep hill. The route then changes to a fast and flat for 3 miles with long straights. Runners come off the valley into Levens, turn left at the Hare and Hounds, and climb 600m to the finish.
