Levens 10K

Kendal Amateur Athletic Club, based in the picturesque town of Kendal, the ‘Gateway to the Lakes’, hosts a series of four scenic 10K road races in and around the breathtaking Lake District during spring and early summer. All races start at thread through small villages and offer stunning views of the Lake District’s natural beauty. Levens 10K - The low-lying, flat area was flooded in 2015 after Storm Desmond. Brigsteer and Levens are on an upland leading to Scout Scar, overlooking Kendal.  This is a race of two halves.  Runners will start at Levens Village Institute with an undulating uphill through Brigsteer Woods, downhill through Brigsteer Village, sharp left with a steep hill.  The route then changes to a fast and flat for 3 miles with long straights. Runners come off the valley into Levens, turn left at the Hare and Hounds, and climb 600m to the finish. After the race, join us at the village hall for a social occasion, where coffee, tea, and cakes are offered to all athletes, making it a perfect way to unwind and celebrate your achievement.
