Lichfield 10K and Family Fun Run

Organised by Lichfield Running Club, it has gained a reputation as one of the premier events in the Midlands. The Lichfield 10k is a hilly course so please be prepared! You will start from adjacent to Beacon Park on the Lichfield westernbypass road. This offers a very wide, flat, and open start for the first km allowing time for runners to space out and get into theirrunning rhythm and pace. The route then turns into a series of rural lanes which wind out to Chorley village – it’s on this section where you will find a series of five hills before heading to a fast downhill section to the finish in Beacon Park. The Fun Run is a route which is entirely within the boundary of Beacon Park. It’s a 2km course which is well marshalled and hasits own dedicated start and finish. It commences before 10k so it’s possible to witness your child competing in the Fun Run beforecompeting in the 10k yourself. The Fun Run is not restricted to any age group but any child under 9 years must be accompanied by an adult who must also enter the race.
