Meet your guide

Matt Buck is a Salomon and Suunto Ambassador, experienced trail and ultra runner, mountain leader, qualified guide, and coach.

Matt has tackled some of the toughest races and challenges around the world. He's passionate about trail running and loves sharing stories, guidance and advice with clients. You don't need to worry about where you are going or the route you will take. Matt will take care of everything, so all you need to do is concentrate on running and having fun.

Pace

This is not a race! You will run as part of a group and share this experience together. You should be able to comfortably run an average pace of 10 min/miles | 6 min/km for prolonged periods of time on the trail, and have a suitable level of fitness.

Kit

A full kit list will be provided.

Silva head torches and Salomon trail shoes are available to trial.

Starting and finishing in North Maldon, the run heads straight onto the Malvern ridge, visiting every summit along the way. With over 1,300m of elevation, it’s a tough but social adventure.

This event has partnered with the wonderful Athletic Brewing Company, one of the most delicious alcohol-free beers around. You can expect to receive a lush beer (subject to availability) at the end of the run to either enjoy with your newfound running pals or take home to have another time. 

If you're thinking about trying trails or if you are experienced and looking for a guide then Matt is your man. (It was my first guided trail run and my first night trail run.) I'm glad he knew where we were going because I had no idea. The pace was steady with lots of stops and checks to make sure we were all together and ready to push on.
