Manchester Airport Duathlon | August

Arrival

Please arrive 30 - 45 minutes before your race start time (9am Sprint, 10am Super Sprint). This should give you ample time to familiarise yourself with transition, warm up, discuss any queries you may have with the team and use the facilities if necessary. 

Registration

Please bring your entry confirmation email so we can scan you in. You will collect your race number at registration as you arrive at the event where we will also check your helmet. You can then make your way into transition to rack your bike. This will be your area to keep your bike and trainers and any nutrition/hydration you may require during the event.

Transaction area

You can keep your bike, running shoes and any nutrition/hydration you require during the event in and around transition. Please keep any bags or items you will not need during the event in your car. There will be no additional storage available.

Parking

There is ample free parking at the hotel.

As my first Duathlon I was a bit apprehensive as its all new, it was very friendly and we'll organised..sign posted well on the course so that was a big relief..all in all a very enjoyable experience..will I do one again..you bet I will..big thanks to the organisers. Andy R

I always enjoy MCA's events and have competed at Manchester Airport, Dunham Massey, Woodford and Preston. They're a no-nonsense event, competitive if you want, relaxed if you want that too, and open to all-comers whether you consider yourself a lapsed athlete (me) or just want to give it a crack. So do that, give it a go - you'll enjoy it - which is why myself and my friends keep coming back over the years. John K

I competed in my first Duathlon this year, the Airport Duathlon via MCA, and although I'd competed in the Super Sprint a couple of times before, this was my first 'Sprint' race which was two laps on the cycle. Me and my mate James had a great race, good hard running and then flat out on the bike, finished in a group of six and then moved up the field on the run. Great organisation as always, no stress races (except for the unfit bit), thanks to Andy and the other volunteers as always. John K

Andy always puts on a brilliant event and the airport duathlon is another great event straight forward registration and a fast course with well marked routes would definitrly recommend. Ashley S

Great little race to start the season off, course was perfect , out and back run and then 2 loops around some quiet country lanes on the bike, , followed by a shorter out and back run, great parking at the event , but for me the best thing was the easy to navigate course. Paul T
