Overview

The Chiltern Hills may pose a challenge, but the breath-taking beauty of this area will inspire you every step of the way.

Set in the picturesque town of Marlow, the race village at Marlow Sports Club offers an enhanced pre- and post- run experience. Starting in front of the iconic Marlow Bridge and with fantastic crowd support as you race up the High Street, you’ll embark on a memorable journey. The races provide many miles of scenic running on virtually traffic-free country lanes.

My favourite race... The best I've been to yet... like a run with a thousand mates

The Frankenstein

It wasn’t a race…it was like a run with a thousand mates! Great fun, see you next year! David C

I loved The Frankenstein race, especially as I prefer cross-country! Beautiful course, Marshalls were excellent, friendly and well organised. I love all the funny signage to spur you on! Thank you for all your hard work and can't wait for next year. Alison S

First year for The Frankenstein and it was a brilliant off road up and down dale 10K. Will do again for sure. Ben W

The Frankenstein was another fantastic Marlow Runners event. The race was easy to get to, the course took you through a beautiful woodland route and there was lots of support and encouragement along the way. Thanks to all the wonderful organisers and marshals. Rachel F

It was sublime. Graham P

Marlow 7

Love this run. Done multiple times and it always delivers.. FANTASTIC.... Paul L

Marlow 7 is becoming one of my yearly runs - I love the distance and the course is fun. Surrounded by friendly runners. What is not to like? Kristel W

Another brilliant event - Striders always have everything covered … flawless. Esther M

My second time running the Marlow 7. I love the course, the fact that it's either up or down, not flat! Beautiful scenery through the autumn woodlands and generally good roads to run on. The fit of the long sleeved t-shirts are just perfect. Nice and long, so you can cover up your hands in the cold. Great atmosphere at the start/finish and the number collection and toilet queues run very smoothly. I will definitely be back next year, it's just a perfect event! Linda H

Absolutely superb event. Extremely well organised, the whole experience top class from arrival (plenty of parking) through to registration, warm up, start etc. Amazing wonderfully tough course - if you don't like hills - this one is not for you. Lovely scenery, quiet roads, well marshalled. I shall definitely be back next year - this time doing the full half. Andy W

Marlow Half Marathon

This was my second time I have participated to Marlow Half. A tough course, but the beautiful views are worth it. Friendly and supportive Marshalls, well organised, good communication, community feel. I will return, for sure. Mihela P

Fantastic race, beautiful scenery throughout. Brutal hills but loved them. Very friendly race seamlessly organisation. See you in 2024. Patrick B

Always love Marlow Half, it's extremely well organised and the marshalls and en route support are outstanding. Phaedra C

Just loved this event. It was my first time running Marlow Half but I’ve got a feeling it won’t be my last. It was hilly, it was tough but it was worth it. The organisation and the smoothness of how it all went was fantastic. I think the best I’ve been to yet. The volunteers and support staff were so friendly and full of praise and motivation, it helped me to dig deeper. I love the event t shirt too and have worn it many times since in runs. I honestly can’t praise the whole event enough, right down to the delicious donuts at the end. Well done Marlow. Tina W

My favourite race, well organised, great support from the marshals and crowd, beautiful countryside and a chunky medal. If you are going to do one run, do this one! Mark D
