Marlow Red Kite Ride
The Chiltern’s Premier Sportive
3 races
Event overview
Featured in Cycling Weekly’s Best Sportives near London, the Red Kite Ride will take place in 2024. Organised and run entirely by unpaid volunteers at Marlow Riders Cycling Club, the Red Kite Ride is run by cyclists for cyclists to raise money for local charities. The sportive gives you a taster of the Chilterns, a top UK cycling destination. Beautiful rolling countryside, home to the graceful Red Kite, provides challenging climbs rewarded with sweeping descents. The Red Kite Ride offers a choice of three routes over 50, 80 or 100 miles. All routes start and finish at the Marlow Sports Club. In addition, we have our fabulous feed stations, welcomed by our bubbly volunteers, with a range of savoury and sweet snacks and refreshing drinks. There may even be a friendly dog to pamper! Once you have finished back at Marlow Sports Club and been cheered over the finish line, there is music from Marlow FM, cold Rebellion beer on tap, and lots of food on offer, from a sizzling BBQ to homemade cakes.
