Event overview
Pound for pound - the toughest 24 hour race in the UK?
A route that will test you, packing a lot into 7km...ups, downs, differing terrains - bring your hill legs for this one! However, this is an inclusive event where you can get involved as a walker only!
No cut off - no minimum amount of laps. Enjoy racing if you wish, but you can also enjoy a no pressure environment where you can do your own thing, at your own speed!
12 or 24 hours on the iconic Clwydian Hill of Moel Famau. This challenge involves a beautiful 7.2km loop being used, which will test you with it's 500m of ascent each time, with competitors completing as many laps of this as possible in 12 or 24 hours. Solo runners, and Team entrants are invited to tackle this event, whether you aim to be competing at the sharp end or just simply fancy a day/night adventure with friends!
This event is part of Moel Famau 12 & 24hr Challenge.

The Route (7.51km & 511m of ascent)
Based on the slopes of the mountain at Plas Dolben Farm - competitors will base themselves in the camp field where tents will be pitched, vans parked and support crews at the ready whenever you need them. At the end of each lap, a peel off from the dibbing area will enable you to access this area, with feed stations, toilets, showers, shelter from the elements if needed and your spare kit.
Participants don't have to continually be on the move for the duration - have as many rests as you like for as long as you like - just ensure that you enter and exit the route through the correct areas to record your laps and times correctly! What happens if your out on a lap and the clock hits 12/24 hours? Then you carry on to the finish and the extra time taken to complete your final lap will be calculated to help place you or your team in the results list.

- A fantastic atmosphere for 24 hours of hill and trail running and walking!
Fantastic atmosphere! A well organized and friendly event. The course is very tough but it is well marked and all the marshalls were very encouraging. Richard James
Very good. Fantastic event, only thing it was a bit lacking in terms of feed station food variation, apart from that absolutely brilliant. Anon
Steep, stunning and surrounded by sheep. Great event that truly deserves more support and entrants. Dafydd Pritchard
