Morland Marathon

The Morland 'Marathon' is a trail ultra suitable for runners and walkers. The route is largely off-road, on mixed terrain, and has 3000 ft of elevation. Starting and finishing in the village of Morland near Penrith, the route hugs the Pennines to the East and the Howgills to the South. It runs through the most beautiful undulating countryside in the Eden Valley and the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. stone circles, waterfalls, lower lying fells, cairns, meadows, and historic villages.
