Event overview

The Morland 'Marathon' is a trail ultra suitable for runners and walkers. The event in 2026 will be fully tracked on Open Tracking, allowing friends and family to follow your progress! The 29 mile route is largely off-road, on mixed terrain, and has 3000 ft of elevation. Starting and finishing in the village of Morland near Penrith, The route hugs the Pennines to the East and the Howgills to the South. It runs through the most beautiful undulating countryside in the Eden Valley and the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Stone circles, waterfalls, lower lying fells, cairns, meadows, and historic villages. Entrance fee includes tracking, a finishers medal, t-shirt, water and snacks at three checkpoints, and the happy faces of two of the most excited race directors you could ever wish to see! Trophies for 1st female, 1st male, 1st non-binary, 1st relay team, and 1st female and male V50, V60 and V70.
