Overview

The course from Braybrooke Taproom runs along the Griffin Trail and Brampton Valley Way. Both of these footpaths are very well maintained over crushed stone; the Griffin Trail has recently been resurfaced to give a great surface.

There is one small section (around 100m) across grassy trail but in the summer this shouldn’t be much of a consideration. It’s relatively flat with gentle climbs on the way out and you’ll be running between arable farm fields - but without having to worry about breaking your ankle on ploughed fields!

The vast majority of the course is not under tree cover. This will leave you exposed to the elements but also allows for some spectacular, uninterrupted views!

Friendly and relaxed event with a 'do as much as you like' sentiment. Aid station each lap was excellent, and the range of snacks and drinks on offer was good. Marty L

On what was probably the hottest day of the year so far, Paul and his team of volunteers went above and beyond to keep us all cool and safe. Plenty of common sense messages in the pre race brief and plenty of water sprayers etc to keep us cool Grahame F

What’s great is that it is more of a personal challenge than a race, and there’s no pressure you just do as much as you want. Kathleen W

Superbly organised and managed, 6 laps around the park for me from woodland to open fields, a well stocked feed station with plenty of drinks ( much needed in today’s heat of 30°C ). Today I rucked with 15kg and earned myself a Gold Award Badge. Simon

Event location, RD and staff and volunteers and a well-stocked aid station are all superb. Outstanding!! Betty M

Great people willing to help with anything. Great event, well signposted route. Paul H

It was a nice marathon and well organised, very hot 32 degrees but that's not normal, good medal and badge. Michael F

Loved it. Wayne N

From when you sign up to after you finish everything is top notch. Andrew G

Really well organised event, love the set up and the flexibility to run as many (or as few) laps as you like. Well stocked aid station at the start/finish line and a good quality medal. Catherine M

Absolutely fantastic format and relaxed vibe!! Scott D

My first time entering the Swan Challenge at Coombe Abbey although have been multiple times before with kids and dogs. Emily T

Really well organised, friendly runners and volunteers, and for me a way to run some longer distances with support. Clare P
