Run the Paris Marathon for charity
A Paris Marathon charity place is a powerful way to combine your marathon goal with supporting a cause that matters. Charity runners raise vital funds while enjoying the motivation and support of a team behind them.
What are charity places?
Charities purchase official places in the Paris Marathon and offer them to runners who commit to fundraising. These charity places are a great way to secure your entry, especially if general places are sold out.
Why run for charity?
Running the Paris Marathon for charity gives every mile extra purpose, with fundraising support and encouragement from your charity team throughout your journey. See the Fundraising section for more benefits of running for charity.
Running the Paris Marathon and charity fundraising go hand-in-hand - which charity will you run for?
Prefer to enter directly? General entry options are explained on the Schneider Electric Paris Marathon page.

- Fundraising support
Marathon success demands more than just running shoes and determination. Your chosen charity brings expert support to power your journey from day one. Expect personalised training plans and expert guidance to help smash both your running and fundraising targets.
Benefits of running for charity
Your charity support package will sparkle with many of these confidence-building extras:
Fundraising support
Charities know that raising money is all part of the challenge, which is why they provide advice, branded materials and a personalised online fundraising page to help the donations roll in. Think videos for social media, branded imagery and testimonials from previous runners. They'll stand with you every step of the way, creating an unforgettable marathon experience that means so much more than just crossing the finish line.
Race day preparation
Ready to nail your race-day preparation? Your charity team may provide brilliant guides covering smart nutrition and hydration choices; staying injury-free on the road; mental strength building; and recovery tricks and tips, plus keep you informed of event updates.
Branded running kit
When you show up on the big day, people need to be able to see clearly that you're supporting a charity. Proudly wear your personalised technical running vest, complete with iron-on letters and show you're running for something bigger than yourself.
In-country contacts
Overseas runners may find it reassuring to join a ready-made charity team who will help secure your place in the event, advise on travel, accommodation and put you in touch with teammates.
Exclusive social groups
You'll be among many runners taking part for UK charities, so you're in good company on marathon day, even if you've turned up solo. Many friendly Facebook communities can put runners in touch beforehand, too.
Paris, along with Berlin and London, must be amongst the best European marathons going, if the scenery was the qualifying factor. Luckily for Paris, there is also the amazing atmosphere, the iconic route and a start line/finish line to add to the list of reasons why this is a race that should be run, at least once. Leon B
An outstanding marathon in a beautiful city. Darren B
This was the first time I've done Paris marathon and the biggest race I've done so far, overall I thought it was awesome and will definitely do again. Mark W
The start on the Champs Elysees and the finish with the Arc de Triomphe as a backdrop was just awesome! Jodene S
Absolutely loved this race. From the iconic start line of the Champs Elysees, running past stunning palaces, the banks of the Seine, the Eiffel Tower, some nice rural parks and the finish line looking back up towards the Arc De Triomphe... what's not to like! Paul W
This my was my first time running an event this big. I Loved it. Could not recommend it enough. Sedat K
A brilliant international event experience! Richard C
Run Paris for the 1st time this year and I loved it. The route was just beautiful! Although a bit hilly, especially towards the end! Katerina P
3rd time doing this in 2024 after 2016 and 2017. It has got better in every way. Course is lovely and not too challenging although it can be a bit undulating towards the last third of the race. Very happy with the quality of feed stations - lots of options and well stocked. Brilliant volunteers and staff throughout. Ravi T
