Event overview
Come to the Jurassic for an epic triple adventure challenge which will see you kayak across Studland Bay, cycle past castles, and hike along the coast - all in one day!
The Jurassic Coast triple Pedal Paddle Peak challenge event offers the opportunity for you to kayak the sheltered sea waters of Studland Bay with the chalk stacks of Old Harry Rock in the background, cycle through quaint Dorset villages, heaths and country lanes, passing the ancient Corfe and Lulworth castles, and hike over hills and downs and along Purbeck ridge with panoramic views of the chalk stacks of Old Harry Rock, Poole Bay and the Isle of Wright on your descent back to Studland.

Itinerary
Date TBC - Online event briefing
Two weeks before the event, you and your team will attend an online event briefing where you will get a full brief and overview of the event ahead of the day. You'll have the chance to ask any final questions.
Friday 25 September – Event registration
Arrive at the event base to check in, receive your race pack and event t-shirt, and drop off your bags for the next morning.
Saturday 26 September – Challenge day
Complete all three elements with your team, then celebrate with a BBQ and reflect on your impressive achievement.
Who is it for?
This challenge is no walk in the park but it's do-able by anyone who's willing to train for it and who can last for 8-9 hours. See if you've got what it takes.
Training guide
You will receive a training guide in your welcome pack.
SheRACES
Pedal Paddle Peak has been officially endorsed and accredited by SheRACES, a Community Interest Company (CIC) that exists to level the start line and enable more women to take part in races and events, and have good experiences when they do.
Bikes
Bike type
Road, hybrid or e-bikes.
You will need to bring your own bike to the event (along with a helmet) unless you choose to hire a bike through the event's bike hire service.
The cycle route is all on road, so a road or hybrid bike is recommended. Being an on-road route, mountain bikes wouldn’t be the first recommendation; however, if this is what you’ve trained on and you feel confident on it, it's fine for you to use one. The range of gears may help you with some of the hills.
E-bikes
Teams using E-bikes would be excluded from the Fastest Finishers Awards to make this fair to other teams.

Taking on the personal challenge was great, doing these three activities back to back was a mental and physical challenge – but hugely rewarding. It's a great way to push yourself whilst also raising money for such an important cause. James C – 2024 participant
It is a privilege to be able to take part in this event. The charity is incredible. It’s a tough challenge, but a very enjoyable day! Katie G – 2024 participant
Having a relationship with the MDUK event team is great, and it’s nice to see them whenever we take on one of their events. We love the Pedal Paddle Peak challenge itself (we’ve done both the Lake District and Snowdon now) and the camaraderie of all taking part too. Definitely coming back to take on PPP again.
