Event overview

A chance to run round the stunning Mount Edgcumbe Peninsula.

It’s a single loop 10.6K run loop that is mostly on coastal paths.

It also means that the two-lap run is exactly a full half marathon and four laps makes a marathon. As far as we know this route has never been used for a running race but it really is a corker with great views and terrain all the way round. It also has a good mix of hills and flatter, faster sections.

Make a weekend of it

Bring your friends and family and set up camp for the weekend on-site and make the most of the stunning views.

Thank you so much for a fantastic event. It was so well organised and so friendly. Really enjoyed the day.

This event is part of Rame Head Race.

Canicross

How old does my dog need to be?

Your dog needs to be 12 months old to take part. No in-season dogs are allowed to compete.

Do I need a harness for my dog?

Yes, you do. There are a variety of harnesses available to suit different breeds of dog. The harness is generally attached to a waist belt you're wearing with a bungee cord. At our events we also allow runners to have dogs on a lead attached to a harness. A collar, slip leads, choke leads or any harness which restricts movement or is designed to stop your dog pulling must not be used.

My dog is not very sociable, can I still take part?

Canicross can be great for nervous dogs or rescue dogs with poor recall. That said competitors are responsible for the conduct of their dog during the event and no abuse to dogs is allowed.

Can I run with two dogs?

One dog per runner is allowed.

A really well organised event, Drinks/Snacks Stations were perfectly located on the course with a good mix of energy drinks, Gels and Jelly babies! The event team were very supportive and encouraging throughout the course. A superb venue for the event! Aaron W

This was an absolutely brilliant event and such a beautiful and scenic course. All the marshals were incredibly friendly and supportive. The race organisation from start to finish was excellent. Thanks for a great day! Mike B

This was a great event ang the marshals and all staff were so helpful and supportive. I even got a lift to the start when the public bus was delayed. Amazing event. Timothy C

What an amazingly enjoyable and well-run event! From anxious arrival to sweaty finish, this was organised and executed so well. The marshalls were incredible, the route directions were clear and simple, the aid stations - at the start, during and after - were well-stocked and with lots of choice, and the route was beautiful. Thanks for giving everyone such a fun and memorable day - all of your prep and hard work gave us an incredible race day to remember. See you at the next one! Adam S
