Event overview
The race includes some steep ascents and descents. Competitors need to be able to navigate, as although there are marshals at the checkpoints and at various gates/stiles around the course, the route is unmarked. Prior experience of fell running is recommended. As we cannot eliminate the risks of rough ground we recommend athletes wear trail or fell running shoes. Safety kit of map & compass, waterproof top and whistle must be carried.
