Starting in the shadow of the magnificent Tonbridge Castle, Ride Castle offers something for every level of cyclist, with four routes to choose from, ranging from an epic 124 miles to an accessible 33 mile course. The three longest distances are fully supported, with feed stations, medical assistance, mechanical support and even motorcycle outriders to ensure a premium feel, with every turn of the pedals.
The highlight of the ride is the view across Kent from Ide Hill, flagrantly showing off the beauty of this county in all its glory, living up to its nickname of The Garden of England. The final few miles of the ride take riders on some lovely quiet lanes and past the spectacular Penshurst Place.

This is a traditional road sportive; the most suitable bike would be a drop handle road bike, although hybrids and e-bikes are perfectly suitable also.
There's been a castle on the site since the days of Edward the Conqueror in 1066, and for those on the Epic route, it may well feel like you've been on the road since then too! The crenulated turrets of the castle towers will be a welcome sight for riders after a long day in the saddle.
The Kent countryside serves up a mixture of quiet villages and beautiful scenery as you ride along quiet lanes. Expect some tough climbs on this charity bike ride as you pedal up and over the challenging North Downs.

Great organisation and thoroughly enjoyed the route. I will definitely enter a future sportive!
Loved this! This was my first official cycling event and it was brilliant! Communications with the team prior to the event were spot on, really helpful. The day itself was brilliant and really well organised and signposted and follow up comms have been good too. I will be back to book another event! Thank you for being so accommodating in my requests to change route too!
I had a great day, I thought it was well organised and your volunteers were all lovely.
Thanks for organising the ride. Had a great time. It stretched me but was really glad to make it round. I've always enjoyed Action Medical Research rides and thought the venue of Tonbridge Castle and the ride round the North Downs was great.
