Event overview

Was that really almost 10 years ago!! The Sportive was a victim of the pandemic, the last edition of this great event was 2019. We used to run it with Ripon Tri-Club and start from the Racecourse, something that isn’t possible this year. For Ripon Tour reborn we’ll use Thirsk as the HQ and Tour via Ripon on the way back. Intentionally we’ve softened off the vert of the Medium and Long from the old Ripon Route but added a few more glorious KMs. We expect (hope) that the sun is shinning so this mid-summer Sportive will be an enjoyable one for sure! 3 great routes as always, if hills are your thing then go Long for The Buttertubs (from Hawes) and Robin Cross Hill. Well stocked feeds every 25 miles, brilliant signage and miles of smiles as with every Velo29 Sportive. We’ve retained the legacy Ripon Tour Medal, many of you who have ridden with us a lot in recent years won’t remember this event. We’ve been keen to extend the series into the summer for you, this is a great way to do so.

This event is part of Ripon Tour Sportive.
