Start your adventure from one of the greenest motorway service stations in the UK. Skelton Lake Services (M1 J45) is an unexpected haven for nature lovers, complete with a rooftop bird hide where you can spot local wildlife. All runners can use the onsite facilities β and for every participant, 50p goes to the RSPB to support their conservation work.
With several distances to choose from and a generous 6.5-hour cut-off, this event is ideal for both runners and walkers. Whether youβre chasing a medal, pushing for a PB or simply enjoying time outdoors, this varied course delivers a rewarding day on the trails.

Overview
Your run begins just behind the services, leading you straight into the peaceful trails of Rothwell Country Park. The route blends woodland paths, riverside sections, grassy trail and a short stretch of road. Thereβs one friendly climb, but the panoramic view of Leeds City Centre at the top makes it more than worth it.
