Event overview

Run Bolton Abbey is a popular, annual trail running event.

Hundreds of runners take part in various distances in the stunning scenery of Bolton Abbey Estate, raising much-needed funds for expert palliative care and bereavement support provided by Sue Ryder.

There is a choice of distances to suit all abilities and the event offers a unique opportunity to run on parts of the estate not usually accessible to the public and stunning autumnal colours are guaranteed!

This year, rather than presenting a medal to all finishers, the charity will plant a tree in the Bolton Abbey Estate for every participant who crosses the finish line.

4 steps to wellbeing
Sleep well

A good night's sleep is an essential foundation for a healthy lifestyle, effective training and weight control.

Train slow

Low-intensity training is easier for you, reduces the risk of injury and helps builds an efficient aerobic system.

Eat natural

Cut out sugar & junk food, reduce carbs, eat natural foods and train your body to burn fat for fuel.

Get outdoors

Fresh air, natural light and reconnecting with nature all help to improve mental and physical wellbeing.
