Run For Nature | Chester Zoo 5K, 10K and Kids Mile | 10K

Following the success of both the 2023 and 2024 Run for Nature events - there will be a third Run for Nature at Chester Zoo in September!

The 10K and 5K races will start off in the zoo and head out on the country lanes around our wider estate. And this year, our routes are better than ever - with twice the distance through the zoo along the amazing species in our care! The Kids 1 Mile Zoom for the 4-15 year olds is all in the zoo. 

Included in your registration fee is entry to the zoo for you to enjoy the rest of your day after the run and a 25% discount for your supporters too! 

As a charity we rely on your support to be able to carry out our crucial conservation work, so we would love you to fundraise for us too. Every penny raised will help us to ensure nature can survive and thrive. 

A visit to Chester Zoo isn't complete without seeing our herd of Northern giraffes. The herd here in the zoo play an important role in international breeding programmes - ensuring this amazing species can thrive for many years to come. 

In the wild, we're also working hard to protect vulnerable giraffe species in East Africa. In Uganda's Murchison Falls National Park, our expert teams are working tirelessly with partners on the ground to protect the Nubian giraffe from a multitude of threats including habitat loss, poaching and our changing climate.
