Event overview

Their will be 2 main events and also a 1 mile family fun run. The main events will consist of a longer "Run the Edge" 11.75km run and a Lighthouse 5km run. As both events are multi-terrain, distances are approximate. Both events will start and finish at Millom Rugby Union Football Club, Wilson Park, Haverigg, Millom, LA18 4GY with both events following the Cumbrian Coastal path. The shorter route will pass along Millom Sea Wall, will go around the Lighthouse at approximately 2.5km and return along the sea wall to the finish at the Rugby Club. The longer event will again pass along Millom Sea Wall but instead of looping back will continue further along the Coastal Path on to Millom and return. Both events will take in the breath taking views and scenic views around the Duddon Estuary (an SSSI site) and the Lake District’s Southern Lakeland fells towards Blackcombe, Whitecombe, Coniston Old Man and Scafell Pike.

This event is part of Run the Edge.
