Overview

Please note the course is path and road running shoes are recommended for this event.

• The course is flat
• 5K turns back on itself at the 2.5K point
• 10K turns back on itself at the 5K point
• Half marathon does an initial 1.1K out and back towards Hampton/Herne Bay before coming back past the start / finish to do the full 10K section twice
• Buggies are OK
• Wheelchair friendly
• Note the course may be altered at any point up to event day if necessary

Race HQ

The event hub is located on the large grassed area, to the left of the children’s play area at Hampton Pier Recreation Ground.

Parking

The event hub is based at Herne Bay. The car park is very limited in space, so try to park prior to getting to this location. Do not park on the double yellow lines on Hampton Pier Avenue. Parking officers will be checking and managing this area so we do not want you to get a ticket.

Take a bit more time and park slightly further away. See Canterbury City Council parking options.

By rail

Herne Bay raliway station is the closest and around a 10-15 minute walk.

Amazing route pretty much 98% flat great views and choice of location well hosted only criticism would be the bag area was not well covered it was an open gazebo so bag got soaked and dirty because of the rain and was all mud in the bag area also no where to stand out of the rain while waiting but still a brilliant run itself and good Peter W

If a parent or guardian is confident their child can safely complete a 5K or 10K unaccompanied, they may do so, provided the parent or guardian remains onsite at all times.
