Event overview

We pledge to do the simple things well; extremely well. A way-marked and measured 5K and 10k route, free parking, with superb event centre facilities and of course, some truly inspiring running, the last 250 metres you will climb 12 steps towards the finish line. Ruthin 5K & 10K running events will take place from Ruthin Leisure Centre it provides the perfect venue for a running event. This race will be chip timed. All 5k running events require runners to be aged 11+ and the 10k running event require runners to be aged 15+. Please note that headphones are not allowed during this event (Only bone conducting), this is a new rule from Welsh Athletics. Should anyone not comply to this rule they will be disqualified if the race referee sees you. The 5K and 10k offers something for everyone, whether you’re a novice or a serious runner. Our hugely popular 5K and 10k courses, both take you on an on road journey through the beautiful countryside, eventually coming home to Ruthin Leisure Centre.
