Located at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, Rye, East Sussex, TN31 7TU

By car

There is parking available at Rye Harbour. Please be aware that it is a busy car park with other visitors to the Nature Reserve. We encourage car sharing where possible. Currently the car park is free but there is a donation box, if possible, we would appreciate it if you could drop a few coins in. There is also a sign saying the car park closes at 8pm – please ignore this as it will be staying open for the evening. If the car park does become full please use the roads in the village but please be mindful of local residents and do not block any driveways.

Public transport

 There is a train station at Rye with regular trains from Hastings and Ashford. There are regular buses from Rye station to Rye Harbour village. 

Overview

The race is a flat, out and back promenade route and it is an accurately measured 5K course. The surface is concrete throughout.

Headphones

In the ear and over the ear headphones are not permitted.

Bone conducting headphones are permitted however, you are asked to have the volume turned down low enough to hear the marshal instructions. 

This event is doing its best to work sustainably to ensure that the carbon footprint of the race is kept as low as possible.

Prizes

• Bespoke medal for all finishers.
• Trophy for 1st, 2nd & 3rd male and female winners.
• Trophy for 1st male and female age group catogories.
• Team prizes on offer! - First male and female team - 3 to score and must be in club kit
• Series points are based on the results of all 3 races combined.
• The series winner receives a free entry into the next Rye Summer Series.1st, 2nd & 3rd in the series rankings receive a bespoke trophy for their placing. 
• Enter the whole series and receive a technical race t-shirt at the final race of the series.
• Please note, you will only receive a t-shirt if you purchase a series entry; they will not be given for 3 individual entries.

Entry fees

What a lovely race! Having completed a fair few runs in London this year, this was a contrast. The number of participants, the route and the support made for a much more peaceful run. Sarah M

This race is a very flat out and back course, on tarmac, with a few VERY gentle rises that catch your muscles out! ...it makes a very good race and good for PBs (which I got!). I'd certainly do this race again, and would definitely recommend it. Mark R
