Overview
This family-friendly challenge will follow the Llanberis Path on a 11-12 mile walk to the summit – one of the most popular routes up Snowdon.
Starting in the town of Llanberis, on the banks of Llyn Padarn, the trail is mostly at an easy gradient, allowing you to take your time and enjoy views of the surrounding hills as you make your way up towards the summit. As you reach the top, you can look back over the North Wales coastline and the Isle of Anglesey, and perhaps enjoy a summit cup of tea if the cafe is open!
The path is well-made and maintained, so is ideal for a first ascent. The walk will be led by experienced, fully-qualified mountain leaders.
Cut off
10 hours.
Participants who don’t make it to halfway up the mountain before a certain time will be sent back down to the event site for their own safety. 10 hours is the maximum amount of time we can allow participants to finish the hike.
