I was pleased to have done the inaugural 'airport run', organised in aid of Naomi's House and Jacksplace (excellent hospices for children and young adults). It was very well organised, easy to sign up and register (including on the day, but it's worth booking ahead), and well supported. The 'novelty factor' is that the run takes place on an airfield, including running down what would normally be an active runway. This also means that it's almost perfectly flat, so on a day without too much wind, it would be a great PB opportunity. I'll be back next year to do this again. Tom R

The inaugural outing of a local fundraising 5K which is great value for money. Communication was top drawer and I had my official chip timed result sent to me via text within minutes of finishing this easy to navigate course. I was after a time and achieved my target so very happy. Lots of bananas and water on completion and a decent medal for those who run for bling. Great event for beginners and elites alike but next year, move the Start Line 100m to make it the full 5K please. Nick C
