Event overview
As the sun rises on the longest day of the year, riders gather to embark on an unforgettable 1000KM journey -the Solstice Sprint. The Sprint will lead cyclists through the breathtaking landscapes of The Midlands, The South West and Wales, where every climb, descent, and turn reveals a new vista. From the rolling hills of the Cotswolds to the rugged beauty of the Black Mountains, this journey is as much a celebration of the land as it is a test of strength and resolve. Before the race begins, riders unite for a pre-race celebration dinner, setting the tone for the adventure to come. With long days and mild weather, the Solstice Sprint offers perfect conditions for riders to test their limits. The Solstice Sprint is the second trial of the Solstice, it will test riders both mentally and physically. The route promises a mix of picturesque climbs and stunning scenery, with key checkpoints at the legendary Pen y Pass, the tranquil Aled Isaf Reservoir, Wells Cathedral and the ancient stone circles of Avebury, where riders will witness the solstice celebrations firsthand as they cycle through the stones during the Solstice festival. The Solstice Sprint is a journey of endurance, challenge, and camaraderie, where riders push themselves to the limit, embraced by the longest day and the beauty of the landscapes around them. Will you conquer the climbs and chase the sun across one of the most inspiring routes in the racing calendar?
