The looped routes start and finish at The White Heather Hotel and are on flat, quiet, country roads. The 5-mile course takes you through Kirkbride, Newton Arlosh and back past the start where family and friends can cheer you on and give encouragement.
This event is part of Sport in Action Festival of Running.
The courses are not suitable for wheelchairs.

The Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) was designated in December 1964 in recognition of the quality of its landscape and its significant historic and scientific interest. It stretches from Rockcliffe in the North to Maryport in the South, covering about 115 square kilometers of the Solway Plain. The primary purpose of this designation is to conserve and enhance the natural beauty of the area.
Light refreshment such as tea, coffee etc. will also be supplied by the hotel at a small charge.
The route is basically 1 big loop and 2 small loops. You start on the big loop. After approx. 1.5 mile you will do the 2 small loops before heading back onto the big loop. At approx. 2.5 miles the finish is opposite the main doors of the White Heather Hotel. The route is fairly flat and will give runners an excellent chance of a PB. Athletes are requested to follow the race director’s instructions and be aware of the dangers of cars and cyclists.
This is a UKA licenced event; only bone conductor headphones are allowed.
The Prizes for the 1st 2nd and 3rd Male and Female finishers will take place approx. 5 minutes after the 3rd Male/Female crosses the finish line. The remaining age group prizes will be paid via BACS payment within 7 days.
1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female. Age groups 20 to 29, 30 to 39 etc. – these prizes will be awarded as follows: Male or Female age groups with less than 17 competitors 1st Place only, Male or Female age groups with 18 or more competitors 1st and 2nd place and Male or Female age groups with 28 or competitors 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes will be awarded.
