Event overview

Join us for the 17th annual Sue Ryder Mascot Gold Cup at Wetherby Racecourse in 2024. The Mascot Gold Cup event set the Guinness World Record for the Most Mascots in a Race in 2015 and continues to be a fun-filled day out for all the family while helping Sue Ryder to provide expert care. The 2024 event is set to be bigger and better than ever and with our new partnership with Poundland, we have some great £1 offers to help people get involved this year. Mascots first take part in the Mascot Parade in the official parade ring where punters can place their bets on their favourites. Several prizes are up for grabs during the Mascot Parade, including the coveted ‘Best Mascot on Parade’. Following the parade, there is a one-minute mascot warm-up led by ‘Pound Hound’ from our sponsor Poundland before the race starts. The race route on the day will be one furlong with six fences to jump over.
