Event overview

The mission is simple: to create fun, full-throttle, mass-participation sports events where people with disabilities – AKA Everyday Superheroes – call the shots and don’t have to worry about cut-off times or equipment restrictions.

For all these missions you can either fly solo or team up with family and friends to do as much or as little as you wish, with as much or as little support as you need. If you want flippers or floats in the water or need to use your powerchair, it is made possible. In fact, as far as we’re concerned, anything goes!

Superheroes can recruit Sidekick teammates to tow, push and pull them around the entire course! This summer we will be celebrating our super planet and all its natural wonders, so prepare yourself for a super-wild time!

Who can join? Everyone is welcome. All we ask is that all solo entrants, or at least one team member, considers themselves to have a disability of any kind.

How to join: You can use anything you might need to complete your tri stage/s. For the swim, you can use flippers or floats or be towed in a vessel on the water (just remember to let us know about your vessel when you sign up). For the cycle, all types of adaptive bikes and wheelchairs are welcome. For the final run/push, everything from baby buggies to race runners and powerchairs are actively encouraged.

Dress code: A Superhero outfit, of course!

I’ve had an awesome day today. I was captain of team npower, my team did such a great job and they all had so much fun. It’s great to finally put a spotlight on everyday people with disabilities. | Jonnie Peacock

It’s 10 times better than we were expecting. The atmosphere has been amazing. When you’re in a race situation you’re pushing as hard as you can and the crowd at the end really helps you through it. It’s been a lovely atmosphere with people of all disabilities accepted and being encouraged to come along. | Jess Barnes
