Princess Alice Hospice is a community response charity, founded by the local community 40 years ago. It iscommitted to delivering outstanding care for patients and their families – both in the community and within our Hospice. They know they can’t prevent death, but will do everything they can to make it as good as possible. The charity believes that hospice care is for living.
Your support can help make a real difference, here are some of the ways that your potential fundraising could help:
£18.73 could pay for a child to attend one monthly session of our Dovetail group, which is for those who have recently been bereaved and offers emotional support.
£50.92 could pay for one hour of care for a patient on the in-Patient Unit where they address troublesome symptoms that can be difficult to treat at home.
£104.61 could pay for a visit from a community-based Princess Alice Nurse at a patient’s home. The nurse’s specialist advice and support helps patients and their families and friends to cope with the physical, emotional, social, or practical difficulties that people face when they have a life limiting illness.
