Event overview

It's exciting to bring this epic race back to the swimrun community. The Lake District is one of the most beautiful locations for a swimrun event, with forest trails, glacial ribbon lakes, and rugged fell mountains.

Come join the Full (45km) or Sprint (21km) course, with options to join as a solo entry or as part of a team of two. Time is ticking to Swimrun Coniston.

Full course details

The Full course swimrun event will take you through Coniston Water, Windermere, Rydal Water and Grasmere. The course follows forestry tracks, trails and paths along valleys and over passes in the midst of some stunning and varied Lakeland scenery.

Total: 45km | Ascent: 1,050m (some tweaking of course in progress)

Run: 38.7km | Swim: 6.5km | Transitions: 18

Gritty course details

The Gritty course swimrun event will take you from the forest and on to Windermere, Rydal Water and Grasmere. The course follows forestry tracks, trails and paths along valleys and over fells in the midst of some stunning and varied Lakeland scenery.

Total: 21km | Ascent: 500m (some tweaking of course in progress)

Run: 18km | Swim: 3km | Transitions: 10

Sprint course details

The Sprint course swimrun event will take you from the northern part of Windermere and on to Rydal Water and Grasmere. The course follows forestry tracks, trails and paths along valleys and over fells in the midst of some stunning and varied Lakeland scenery.

Total: 12.7km | Ascent: 307m (some tweaking of course in progress)

Run: 10.8km | Swim: 1.9km | Transitions: 6
