Event overview

Every May, we host our annual race set against the stunning backdrop of the Essex Wildlife Trust Thameside Nature Discovery Park. The course is mostly flat with some gentle undulations, offering beautiful views of the River Thames and its surrounding wildlife — perfect for all abilities, including families and children. Runners can choose between a 10K (two laps of the route) or a shorter 5K (a single loop around the nature reserve). All participants receive a bespoke wildlife-themed medal to celebrate their achievement. Because we’re passionate about and care for the next generation of runners, we also host a 1K Kids’ Fun Run — where every young runner receives a medal for their efforts.

This event is part of Thameside 10K & 5K Races.
