Event overview

At this event you will have the opportunity to tackle a 10K, half marathon, marathon or ultra.

Whether you're new to your chosen distance, or a veteran, the team will cheer you along your way!

The 6-hour event starts at 9am or the 4-hour event starts at 11am.

The location is pretty self-contained, making this an intimate event and having exclusive use of the main area with plenty of open space. There will be a water, aid station located at the lap point so no stress of having to carry lots of food, water or equipment.

There will be a bespoke medal for the event, which you will receive at the end of the race. Or if you choose the 'green' lucky dip option, you will choose from a selection of previous medals.

This event is part of The Birthday Run.

Fabulous trail laps in Hichinbrooke Park - anything from 5K to ultra. Great organisation. Lovely marshals and helpers. Lots of cakes and hot/cold drinks at the finish. Even catered for GF like myself although the real cakes looked so good! Enjoyed the course, liked that it was varied from woods to gravel paths and a lovely lake. Will be back! Claudie C

Great race! Great volunteers! Great post-race massage! Mark D

Well organised. A very well organised event with great scenery, although parts of the course are tricky to navigate when wet or dry. Hannah SC

Really enjoyed the downhill bits! Lovely route around the park, marshals were very encouraging, cake at the end was divine! Maddy L

Brilliant course, friendly, well organised. This is only the second Zig Zag run i have done, and what I love is how relaxed it all is. I've done my share of races and obsession of pace and time, these are just relaxed and just run, enjoy, what is not to like. Well organised, friendly, great medal. John S

Fantastic, friendly and the most amazing vegan cake to boot. Karen AF

Warm, welcoming and FUN!! Sophie H

Hard trail but fun. It was a good route but found it hard as ground was so dry and lots of ruts/roots in places so had to take it steady for me personally. Miranda M

Perfect. Atmosphere was so relaxed and ideal for all runners. Richard H

Just amazing and staff are awesome. Craig R

A good night's sleep is an essential foundation for a healthy lifestyle, effective training and weight control.

Train slow

Low-intensity training is easier for you, reduces the risk of injury and helps builds an efficient aerobic system.

Eat natural

Cut out sugar & junk food, reduce carbs, eat natural foods and train your body to burn fat for fuel.

Get outdoors

Fresh air, natural light and reconnecting with nature all help to improve mental and physical wellbeing.
