The cycling event of the summer is back!
Join Team Christie for the ultimate cycling experience, a 60-mile, fully supported ride from MediaCityUK, Salford Quays to the iconic Blackpool Glitterball on the South Promenade, in support of The Christie Charity’s new scanning centre appeal.
You’ll enjoy a well-planned ride through Lancashire, with a mix of smooth roads and some gentle elevation to make the challenge both achievable and rewarding.
Every mile you ride brings us closer to faster scans, quicker diagnoses and world class care for cancer patients.
With refreshment stops, mechanical support and safety vehicles available throughout the day, you can focus on the ride and the difference you’re helping to make.

Begin at the buzzing Piazza, MediaCityUK and cross the line at Blackpool's famous Glitterball on the South Promenade.

A beautifully signed route through rolling countryside, mixing smooth roads with gentle elevation (1,800ft total climb) — challenging but very achievable.
Fully supported ride
Signed route, marshals, on-route cycle mechanics, first aid, and pick-up vehicles mean you can relax and enjoy the experience.
Multiple refreshment stops

Start times are for guidance only and to help reduce congestion. If you wish to change your start time there's no need to contact the organisers.

Start
Car parking for the start is at Quayside Media City Car Park, Manchester M50 3AH (aka Quayside Shopping Centre parking).
You can pre-book your parking at a flat rate of £5 for the whole day by using the link below. The only bookable date for this deal is Sunday 13th July, so select that from the drop-down menu, and the times you want within that 24hr period. Please ensure you arrive in the vehicle that you booked parking for.
Finish
Parking near the Finish is at the Pay and Display car park on South Yeadon Way, FY1 6BF.
Event coaches/bike transfer
Special coaches and trucks will run from Blackpool in the morning to take riders (and their bikes) to the start, and in the afternoon to take riders back to Manchester. Please book in advance to guarantee a seat.
By rail
Trains from Blackpool to Manchester will this year allow 2 bikes on board per train (free of charge) - buy your ticket at the station, but beware of this restriction on number of cycles.
