Event overview

You can choose between a 14.2 mile course or a 7.9 mile course depending on what suits you best. Both courses are testing with hilly profiles. Many runners use the race as final training for the London Marathon. Both courses run through some of the most breathtaking views and scenery you will see on a race. Markers will be in place to mark the 10km and half marathon points should runners wish to record their times. As a reward for your efforts the organisers provide free tea/coffee, sandwiches and cakes at the finish. Trophies and prizes are awarded in line with England Athletics age categories for both distances. The race is organised primarily as a fund raiser for the village primary school with all profits going directly to the school to aid in providing a better education for local children. Come along and try us out (or come back if you have raced before) - you won't be disappointed!
