Very relaxed atmosphere, great place to have a run out. Lovely to see a different part of Scarborough. Thought the route was great and seeing other runners on different mileage was lovely. Only slight niggle was that the 10k was short, so I presume all distances were. Shame really but I’m taking it as a PB. Shall be back. Christine Iveson

Enjoyable. Distance incorrect. Would have been better as a single out-and-back for the half marathon. Lovely event overall with excellent refreshments as usual. Dinah Owen

Really enjoyable. Another good challenging route. I did the 10k but it was short by 0.66 of a mile, which was disappointing on the day, but it won’t stop me attending another event. Friendly and relaxed event. John-Lee Thompson

It was amazing. Thank you and I hope to see you again next year. Anthony Prior

Friendly, local event with no crowds. A great antidote to mass participation events. Lovely people, friendly atmosphere and a great variety of snacks. One of the nicest medals I’ve received. I liked the out-and-back route with a little bit of elevation. One niggle: the half marathon was short by about half a mile. Andrew Head

Great event but markings fell short. Setup and organisation were great, instructions were clear and signs easy to follow. Friendly atmosphere and great treats at the end. The only issue was that the run measured 20.3k, disappointing for those chasing a PB or doing their first half marathon. Melissa Murray

It’s not so grim up north. Very friendly event with stunning scenery and the four out-and-backs worked better than expected. Marshals did a fabulous job and the food and treats were spot on. Edward Hodgson

A reet gud run. It had everything you could want — friendly helpful folk, relaxed atmosphere, a bit of up and down, stretches of flat tarmac and cinder track. Well signed, well marshalled, great checkpoints and plenty at the finish. Nick Ford

Nice event. Course was a bit short and it was a tough start up the hill, but a really nice friendly event. I will definitely attend another Grim event. Stuart Amos

Nice course and well organised, although slightly disappointed that the 10k fell short by a full kilometre. Great snacks at the finish and very friendly organisers and marshals. The out-and-back course was great for encouraging other runners Adrian Merritt

Nice event to do in a different place. Helen Atkin-Tyrrell

Friendly, welcoming atmosphere and fabulous doughnuts. Andrew Bates

Such a well organised, friendly event. Me and my daughter ran the half marathon and loved it Debra Plews

Great race. Friendly marshals, well signed, good choice of food and drink at the finish, lovely route and scenery. Vicky Webster

Very well organised. This was a beginner-friendly race with marshals and way markers, a good choice of distances and an impressive assortment of refreshments. Kathleen Ellis

Really enjoyed this event. Would love to participate next year but no 5k option. Annette Dennis

Very good. Michael Shaw

Great race. I actually liked the multiple laps as it meant you could talk to lots of runners, especially those doing longer distances. Just a shame the turnaround point was a little short again. Marc Mason
