Event overview

We’ll guide you through many of the wonderfully road bike friendly lanes that we at SportiveUK cycle on a regular basis. Immaculate surfaces will get your wheels spinning making for an impressive average speed, but you prefer to meander you’ll enjoy the beautiful Essex countryside in full bloom. All routes enjoy the picturesque roads of Essex that are known for their flattish nature, however, there are a few lumpy surprises in the last 10 miles that’ll certainly get your legs pumping. You’ll then be greeted onto the last 2km of the closed road circuit at Redbridge Cycling Centre – There are no cars here so you can really push it, and maybe have a friendly race with a mate. A distance for everyone! Tour Essex features a 42, 72, and 110-mile choice of routes that utilise many of the same spectacular roads as a certain British stage of a famous French race.

This event is part of The HCC Tour Essex.
