Running with your dog/canicross

Dogs are welcome to run with their owners! Please ensure your dog is on a short lead/harness and that you are careful on the course and respect other runners and park users.

Wheelchairs

This course is not suitable for wheelchairs.

By car

Temple Newsam is just off the M1 (junction 46 from the South and junction 46 from the North). If you are using a route planner, our postcode is LS15 0AE.

House car park - Close to House and within easy walking distance to the Stable Courtyard and Home Farm, this car park has ample flat parking and is patrolled. Please note that charges apply except for blue badge holders.

Home Farm car park - This large free car park is close to Home Farm, the walled gardens and the grounds.

The Lodge car park - A small car park close to the North Plantation.Stable Courtyard - very limited disabled parking with preference given to people who have pre-booked electric scooters.

Relief car park - This large free car park is a short uphill walk to the main attractions, but close to a large playing field.Walled Garden - limited disabled access spaces are available directly outside the Walled Garden.

By train

The nearest train station is Cross Gates, located 1.5 miles away.

By bus

The number 10 bus runs directly to Temple Newsam House throughout the Easter school holidays until the end of the Autumn School Holidays. Visit First Buses website for more information.

Event hub

The event hub is based in front of the estate just on the grass section.

The course is hilly and on path and trail around Temple Newsam.

Buggies

Off road buggies are ok.

Cut off time

1.5 hours.

The 10K is for running with a bit of walking/jogging if necessary.

Included

• Everyone will receive a medal
• There are a few trophies up for grabs
• Results will be displayed on the Results Base Timing screen so after crossing the finish line you can check out your instant results
• Results go live to the website and you will receive an email update once the race is over
• Drinks and sweets will be available at the finish line
• Other goodies from event partners

Shelter

This Winter Warmer Run is proud to support the charity Shelter and the goal is to help raise awareness and funds for them.

Fundraising is not mandatory however you are welcome to get sponsored or make a donation if you wish.

Children

Children of all ages are allowed to take part. Please note that children remain the responsibility of their parents/guardian throughout the event. If the parent/guardian is satisfied the child/children can confidently run 5K or 10K unaccompanied they may do so, with a parent/guardian remaining onsite at all times.
