Event overview

The Lighthouse Run has 3 options 41mile/66km Ultra Marathon starts at Whitehead Lighthouse. 26.2mile/42.17 Marathon starts at Dargan Road. 13.1mile/21.08 Half Marathon starts at Helens Bay. The route will start from, Whitehead Lighthouse and will follow the coastline all the way round to Donaghadee. Using footpaths and coastal paths with some trail sections. The route is mainly flat with only around 200m total ascent across the whole 41miles, those of you looking to get a fast run should be able to achieve a really good time. All distances will follow the same route but will start at different points and times along the route. As with all of our events, you will now have the option of using either a GPX route on your own device we will supply the route, we may introduce a tracker for the Ultra and the Marathon this will be decided closer to the time and will also be cost dependant) There will be no marshal's or additional signs on the course. As with all of our events this will be a self-sufficient event, you must be able to carry enough food and water to last you for the duration of your chosen event, we will supply water to refill your water bottles at certain locations along the route these will be confirmed closer to the event date. However these will be refill stations only, as we are a no trace event organiser, we do not supply cups or bottles of water around the course. You must carry with you at all times a fully charged mobile phone and a foil blanket.
