Event overview

Following ancient drover's roads once used for restlessly driving highland cattle and evading enemies. Roads rich with legends of headless beasts and dark spirits from the bloody days of old. According to some stories, drovers would rest near the summit to recoup and honour those who had perished on the route, either from the elements or at the hands of robbers. Ghostly sightings of drovers and cattle are part of local lore, with some saying you can hear the faint echoes of their footsteps and cattle lowing on foggy nights.

This is 'The Restless'

Gravel racing has exploded in recent years and XTRI are often asked if there's an extreme gravel triathlon.

The answer is Yes! Expect it to be different, harder, higher, more technical and most definitely Xtreme.

The first race will be in the magnificent Arrochar Alps in Scotland where the swim will be in a Loch so deep it’s home to military submarines, a stunning gravel ride will take you over the hills including the famous Rest and be Thankful, aptly named, gaining nearly 2000m in 50km.

Then you will run to the top of Ben Donich, with incredible views on a tough and technical mountain trail.
