Fun day out. Great race, organised by Denzil and team. Checkpoints well stocked with good food and friendly faces. Route was varied with nice trails, decent climbs and views. Definitely recommended! Mark M
Brilliant event. Aid stations were brilliant, food was lovely, and everyone was very supportive. The people on the last station were so sweet, fuelling me up, helping with headtorch batteries and giving encouragement for the final push! Hugely appreciated. Zoe R
Telford T50. Big thank you to Denzil and his crew. Conditions were wet, cold and slushy, despite the difficult conditions and missing out on some of the scenery due to the shorter daylight hours, I had a blast and it gave me the challenge I was looking for. The course is definitely harder than it looks on paper, which made it all the more rewarding. David B
Enjoyable, challenging and varied route with great organisation and crew. David K
Mick Kennish Ward's write-up:
Tough week at work, but finally a bit of time to write about the Tt50. It's one of those 50s not to be underestimated. It's got everything you need, hills flat, road, superbly stocked aid stations just fantastic Marshalls and cp3 coffee to die for. I took this challenge on a bit late but already had big miles the legs so knew I was good for the distance.
I'd decided to accompany my friend Alice Malone on her first ultra. She could have chosen one of the flatter ultras but decided to do the tt50. I'm glad she did. Denzil and Co didn't clear the mist from the Wrekin so we could have nice views, but I bet they would have if they could've. If you're ever looking for a 50 that has great waymarking, great aid stations, great organisation and a good challenging course this is it.
It suits seasoned ultra runners and newbies alike. The early 0630 start is perfect for those who always are wide awake on race day . The race covers a pre marked route around Shropshire and has great views everywhere. Also plenty of places enroute to fuel up if for some weird reason the aid stations aren't enough. The course could be taxing if you don't do the miles in training, but very manageable if you do. I loved it.
I felt like I could have gone on longer but all good things come to an end unfortunately. I reckon the TT 100 would break a few decent runners. I got value for money I reckon, as runners we're also consumers and sometimes get short changed in some races, this is not that race. You get more for your money.Cheers Denzil and crew, see you all again. Get the coffees in.
