Swim
The swim will be an open water affair in the beautiful blue waters of Weymouth Bay.
Approximately 100 competitors at a time will start the race 15 minutes apart.
Open sea swim in Weymouth Bay in a 1 loop course around marker buoys.
We advise you to practice sea swimming before the event.
Safety craft will be in position and lifeguards are instructed to remove any competitor from the water who they consider in danger for whatever reason.

Bike
The rolling cycle course will be a fast one for all three events with the route taking in some breathtaking scenery.
The bike route for the Middle course will be taking place on mainly long flattish (as best we can do in Dorset!) roads.
Extreme care at the start of the cycle section and on descents into Weymouth. No heroes please!
Also, on return to Preston Beach traffic lights do not overtake cars near the finish.

Run
The run will be a short blast around the Lodmoor nature reserve for the Sprint and Classic and just ever so slightly longer for the Middle.
The course comprises four laps of Weymouth and Lodmoor. Finishing in the Weymouth College Car Park at the rear of Lodmoor Country Park.
There will be water/hydration stations approximately every 2/3 miles.

First triathlon, not the last! As a first event I don't have a lot to compare to, however the atmosphere was great, helped by a brilliant team of marshalls keeping the energy high. As a beginner there was good support and encouragement from everyone and I will definitely be back! Josh Dixon
Brilliant event. Had a fantastic day, flat sea (well organised), nice bike course, near flat run. Everything superbly marked, routes easy to follow. Friendly, enthusiastic marshalls from the start of the swim right through to the finishing line at the end of the run. Well organised and great fun. Suzanne Bass-Twitchell
Great, very well run event. We camped overnight in the carpark so woke up next to transition which made it hassle free. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Joss Oatley
Perfect day. The organisation and information prior to the event was thorough. The organisation on the day was great and the routes were well thought out… the Marshalls did a great job and they created a brilliant atmosphere. And to top it all the other competitors were very friendly and supportive throughout. And the weather behaved too! 10/10 James Brown
Incredible event! My first triathlon; everyone was incredibly helpful and supportive. The marshals were world class, and the views on the course were extraordinary. Would highly recommend! Andrew Sutcliffe
