Event overview

The Thursley National Nature Reserve at 325 hectares is one of the largest remaining fragments of heathland in Surrey. The reserve has extensive areas of open dry heathland, peat bogs(!), pine and deciduous woodlands. the area is home to 20 species of dragonflies and damselflies who live around the open ponds of the reserve as well as an array of birds which include Dartford warblers, stone chats, long-tailed tits, gold crests, red starts, white throats and wheatears. This is the flattest run that we offer at Running Adventures, perfect for trail running first timers. We will explore this beautiful area, including running the famous boardwalk, which recently won the title of 'Britain's Favourite Path'. This run is perfect for people new to trail running, runners who simply like to meet like minded people, or those that haven't felt comfortable running trails alone at dusk or night. πŸŒ… Sunset runs occur during the lighter, warmer months and offer stunning running at dusk, with blissful temperatures and fantastic views, the perfect end to any day. 🌌 Night runs occur during the darker, colder months and offer the unique experience of running trails at night by headtorch, in a safe group environment.
