Event overview
A full range of triathlon distances at the excellent facilities at Torbay Velopark.
This totally traffic-free venue is the perfect way for anyone to start in the sport of triathlon, with a pool based swim, followed by a Velopark ride on smooth, flat tarmac and a flat parkland run. There is also a category for relay teams.
The swim, in the 25m pool is followed by between one and 13 laps on the super-smooth tarmac of the Velopark. The race finishes with a one or two lap run (depending on your category) on a fast parkland course. The run course is now exactly 2.5K per lap and the Sprint bike course has been extended to 19.5k to bring it as close as possible to the official sprint triathlon distance.
This event is part of Torbay Triathlon Autumn.

Sportiva Events is doing its best to minimise the environmental impact of this event. Here are a few of their initiatives:
Sustainability
Trees not tees
For all events which include a t-shirt, there is the option to plant a tree instead through a partnership with Treesnottees
Avoid single-use plastics
New paper cups have been sourced to be fully recycled back into high-grade paper.
Optional medals
Lots of competitors are not interested in finishers' medals so they are now optional. A Β£2 charity donation is made for every medal not selected.
Swim hats on request
Swim hats are provided for open water swimming events as they help the water safety teams keep track of swimmers. However for all pool events, swim hats are now on request to reduce wastage.
Reuseable zip ties and recycling
Reusable zip ties are used and all rubbish is sorted for recycling after the event.
Reducing car use
At the Burrator 10K running race those who commit to walking or cycling to the event get Β£5 discount.
