Town to Tower 10K | Ruthin to Moel Famau Uphill Race
10:45
Age 15 & over
£20.50
- 10 km fell running + 550 m ascent
Event overview
Come and get involved in the first 'Town to Tower' race and enjoy this beautiful part of North Wales!
Ruthin has recently been recognised as one of the best places to live in the UK, and undoubtedly one of the reasons that this lovely Market Town has been recognised as such, is its location, sitting right beneath the beautiful Clwydian Hills, and its highest point - Moel Famau.
After finishing, a short walk of 25-35 minutes takes you back to Bwlch Penbarras, your well-earned medal and transportation home. There will be an option to purchase a bus ticket upon entering the event, to take you back to Ruthin and your vehicle, if you wish.

Challenging but worth it. Thoroughly enjoyed the Race. Well organised and the route well laid out. Only issue was the lift back to Ruthin - I didn't realise you needed to book transport. Apart from that it was excellent. Paul R
Very enjoyable & friendly event. Richard T
Loved it. Jane C
Outstanding scenic trail run. Very hilly in two parts but worth while for the views once at the top/finish. Melissa G
Really enjoyed this race, will do it next year but follow the signs! Amir K
Enjoyable race, first half doesn’t give a hint about the second more varied second half. I answered “maybe” to suitable for beginner because unless they have done some hill preparation then the answer would be no. Noel S
Lovely run with a killer finish - I’d do it again but not just yet. Well organised, lovely marshals, tough but great route, varied terrain (lanes, trails, fields, streams, hills and … the gulley to finish) Jo M
Tough! A really tough race! I'm sure once the joints stop aching I'll have enjoyed it! Colin D
