Get together with friends and family and join in at Roundhay Park, Leeds to Walk for Children.
Walk for Children is for everyone. Choose to walk either 5K or 3K and enjoy the festive event village. There will be activities for all ages - you could try some Christmas crafts, enjoy a hot chocolate or even meet Santa!

Why take part
While children are at home for the Christmas holidays, they’re cut off from many vital support systems. And without these support systems, they may feel they have no one to turn to. No one to ask those urgent questions; questions like how to feel less lonely or how to cope.
By joining Walk for Children and raising money this December, you can help the NSPCC’s Childline service be ready for every question from children this Christmas.

Why should I take part?
Children have so many questions at Christmas – for parents, teachers, Santa, and even Childline.
- This Christmas, a child will contact Childline every 45 seconds on average.
- Over 1,900 children contacted Childline about mental health last Christmas.
- Childline is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, staffed by volunteer counsellors ready to answer calls day or night this Christmas.
How your fundraising helps
For children facing abuse, the winter nights are dark, long and lonely. All children need to know that the NSPCC is there for them, even on the darkest nights.
By joining Walk for Children, you'll raise vital funds which will make a difference. Your fundraising could help Childline be there for every child - whenever they need us. With your support, Childline can be ready for every urgent question this Christmas.
