  • Choose your goal

Walk from one mile a day to 50 or 100 miles in February, whatever distance suits you.

  • Walk anywhere

Do it your way – laps in the park, walking the dog, taking the kids to school,  treadmill miles, or walks to the shops.

  • Fundraise

Raise money to power lifesaving research; hitting targets earns you medals and gear.

  • Join the community

You can join groups with family, friends, or colleagues to walk together or support each other.

Extremely proud of myself and completely blown away by the generosity of people’s support!

What is Walk for Hearts?

A virtual fundraising challenge for BHF, which challenges you to walk 28, 50 or 100 miles in February. It's your challenge, so you can choose when and where you complete your miles. You can track your miles using your phone, smart watch or other device.

Grab your comfy walking shoes and get started!

My final count was 36 miles. Some were hard. Some were fun. All were for a good cause.

Teams

You are encouraged to take part with family, friends, colleagues and any groups you're a part of. To take part as a group, you'll have to register individually so you can receive your t-shirt.

From there, you can create a JustGiving team which you can all join and fundraise together, share your group updates and encourage others to join you.

How you take on your miles as a group is entirely up to you; you can aim to reach your collective total, share your miles between you or take them on however you like.

How to track your miles

  • Keep a tally manually - using your mile tracker
  • Use your preferred app - such as Strava or Fitbit

4 steps to wellbeing
Sleep well

A good night's sleep is an essential foundation for a healthy lifestyle, effective training and weight control.

Train slow

Low-intensity training is easier for you, reduces the risk of injury and helps builds an efficient aerobic system.

Eat natural

Cut out sugar & junk food, reduce carbs, eat natural foods and train your body to burn fat for fuel.

Get outdoors

Fresh air, natural light and reconnecting with nature all help to improve mental and physical wellbeing.
