and the event has become one of the most highly rated for first time triathletes in the country. NEW FOR 2025 – AQUATHLON (Swim/Run) and DUATHLON (Run/Bike/Run) options! All abilities take part including some of the region’s elite competitors, but the event has really made it’s name as the perfect first time challenge. The 400m swim takes place in the 25m swimming pool in the £25m Sports Centre, the 21.5k cycle is a relatively flat 3 lap course and the 5k run takes on the fitness trails around campus before finishing on the running track to the cheers of your family and supporters. West Lancs Triathlon is our #MyFirstTri event for 2025. The course, distances and support make this event perfect for a first triathlon.
