The event was really well organised and had a special atmosphere. Totnes was buzzing that day and it was a lot of fun being involved. There was lots of laughter and chatting with other competitors. My friend watched as all the swimmers set off from Steamer Quay and said it was quite spectacular seeing everyone swim off down the river. I will be signing up for next year. Hans E

I have taken part in this swim several times. It caters for both fast and slower swimmers and for people who like to take on a challenge, especially those used to sea water swimming, as it's very different swimming in fresh water. Fiona S

A very friendly and well-run event in a lovely location. I only did the swim, but nice course down the River Dart, with plenty of safety marshals on the water. (Unfortunately many no-shows, but that made the marshal:swimmer ratio even safer). Well-stocked refreshment station post-race. Charles S

Actually, I love the fact its quite low key & doesn't totally take over the area & landscape, it's a lovely river slight hike at the end but very nice pub at end of hike & lots of tired smiley 😊 face.s 2nd year we have done it & you can build a nice long weekend around it, would highly recommend. A really great event that was organised with low budget so cost effective and allowing many people to take part. Really open and friendly team encouraging people to take part and β€˜dip their toe’ in this type of event; as it was my first time doing this type of event I had lots of questions and I always got answers and was encouraged to take part.
