What a great event! As soon as I saw it advertised I knew it was an event I would love. Running and history all in one. The route did not disappoint- it was stunning. Helped by great weather. The team managed to create an event in which, as a slow runner, I felt completely comfortable and welcome. Thank you for this- it was my first organised event of this distance, made possible by the generous cut off time, and an inclusive attitude. I’d love to do it again. Thank you to the really supportive volunteers at each station. Angharad S

I done the fun run with my nephew and thought it was a fantastic race. Well organised. Also was surprised to receive a medal as well as my nephew πŸ˜„ Kelly I

We ran as a female relay 70km team and we absolutely loved this. It was a fantastic event to include all fitness levels from 6km to half marathon distances. It welcomes people from all backgrounds to feel supported in the race. The whole team hope that it takes place again next year with us looking to up our distances and inspire more people to get involved. Thank you for all efforts into this event it was so memorable! Dawn F

Everyone involved was fantastic. Mark F

Amazing course and support, everything was top-notch. Can’t wait to race again next year! Katie S

It was my absolute pleasure to run my first ultra at the William Wallace Running Festival. The organisation was spot on, starting from the handy athlete guide (that was updated with more information closer to the event) throughout registration and up to the day itself. The route was very scenic and well marked never had an issue with getting lost on the course. The aid stations were super well stocked... You can tell a lot of thought and effort went into the organisation. Really, I couldn't have asked for more, and I sincerely hope the WWRF returns next year. Henrietta K

This Ultra was incredible! From the clear pre-race communication to the slick registration, everything had been considered. The route was stunning and I’d highly recommend the race to others. I also really appreciated the ladies fit t-shirts. Thank you event team for a superb race experience! Louisa D

My first ever event. I had a smashing time. I was so nervous and when we set off it was amazing! So happy with my time too and the scenery throughout was lovely. Staff and volunteers were great and motivating. Can’t wait to go next year! Kelsey M

I loved this race! A fantastic atmosphere and hope to do it again next year πŸ’ͺ🏼 Victoria L

First ultra was nervous about getting lost. Made well easy with signs throughout. Aid stations well stocked and an all round good atmosphere. Bailey R

Highly recommend this event - we did the 50K ultra relay and it was fantastic. The course was challenging at times with quite a few steep hills, but the scenery was beautiful! All aid stations were well equipped and made changeovers easy. We really enjoyed the day! Lucy L

A fair mix of road and trail, flat and hills. Beautiful scenery, took a million photos and the organisers/volunteers were super friendly. A water station at Menstrie would have been great with the unexpected heat. Luckily one of the guys had a stash. Would highly recommend, I was loving life throughout the whole run and although I was on my own it didn’t feel like it! Mhairi B

Excellent event. The organisers were great to answer questions on email in the lead up. Volunteers were so good and motivational. They kept us going. Overall atmosphere on the day was excellent. All made to feel very welcome. My only mark down was because I found the course slightly narrow at points so with elite on their return is was harder to overtake runners and at times not enough room on path. Overall excellent and would definitely attend again. Love the medals. Zarah B

Fab event medal was brilliant. Was a little bit tight on some of the pavements on the 10k but nothing to major. Really well organised and good value for money. Would come back next year. Carla J

Great event! Amazing 10km route! Medal amazing! However lots of Garmins / Strava only picked up 9.85 km so that was a shame. LOVE the buff! I’ll definitely be back next year…. Half marathon? Thanks for a brilliant morning πŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώβš”οΈ Alison L

Great race- cracking route and day. Gilliam L

Such a wonderful race! A beautiful course, kind and welcoming events team and overall amazing day! I'd highly recommend and I look forward to doing it again. Jen M

The course was perfectly marked, and the entire event was flawlessly managed. Highly recommended! Euan J
